| Review (Summary): "As D-SLR prices continue to drop, we should see big changes in the superzoom segment of the digital camera market. Already, more and more compact, lower-priced models with up to 20X optical zoom lenses are hitting the shelves. At $299.99 direct, Sony's latest superzoom, the Cyber-shot DSC-H10, isn't terribly expensive, and with 10X optical zoom, eight different scene modes, and the ability to preview ISO settings on the 3-inch LCD, the H10 brings a lot to the table
... with poor flash shots, iffy face detection, and a price that's a bit high for what you get, this camera is likely to have a hard time finding its audience. If you're in the market for a budget superzoom, go for the Panasonic TZ3 - it outshines the H10 in nearly every way." |

| Review (Summary): "The Cyber-shot DSC-H10 was announced in late January and comes as a successor to the DSC-H3 which itself was only launched a mere 5 months earlier. The H10 only constitutes a relatively minor upgrade with the new larger 3.0" screen with its increased resolution (230K pixels vs 115K) being the only major difference between the two camera generations. In Sony's 'High Zoom' hierarchy the H10 is the junior partner of the new flagship H50. It offers a 10x zoom in a very compact body for photographers on a tight budget and is equipped with an 8MP sensor. The feature set is virtually identical with the H3's and includes Face Detection, Optical Image Stabilization and HDTV output (albeit using an optional composite video cable or Cyber-shot Station dock). ...
Like the H3 the H10 is essentially a long-zoom point and shoot camera that performs well as long as you let it do its thing in Auto mode. Once you develop an ambition to set your own shooting parameters things get a bit more tricky. This is partly because some manual settings are simply not available ..." |

| Review (Summary): "For the Cyber-shot DSC-H10 budget megazoom camera, Sony didn't change much from its predecessor, the Cyber-shot DSC-H3. Only its 230,000-pixel 3-inch LCD is new, compared with the 115,000-pixel, 2.5-inch version on the H3. Given the lack of an electronic viewfinder, that's a nontrivial enhancement, but pretty much the only one. ...
... Photo quality ranges from great to not so great. Shots I took outdoors, in good sunlight, looked very nice; sharp, with accurate yet saturated color and correct, even exposures. Indoor shots look murkier and softer, with significant noise and processing artifacts at ISO 800 and higher. ..." |

| Review (Summary): "... One of the big new features added to the H10 is the 8.1-megapixel SuperHAD CCD. Sony claims that this sensor allows more light to reach each pixel, increasing sensitivity and reducing noise. In other words, you will be able to shoot at faster shutter speeds in the same conditions than with previous imaging sensors. ...
... Sporting a 10x zoom lens with optical image stabilization, 8-megapixel imaging sensor, new sports shooting mode and a very powerful built in flash, the Cyber-shot DSC-H10 is one very versatile camera. These features combined with the outstanding performance and very good image quality make this a great deal with at US$299 or less...." |
